WNC Audiology was established in 2014 when Dr. Lisa Angelina, Au.D., opened her practice inside the building of WNC Ear Nose Throat, Head and Neck Surgeons, PA, the office of Dr. Barry Pate, Jr., M.D. Otolaryngologist. https://www.wncent.com/ Because the ENT practice has a long history in our community and has a well-established reputation, rapport and connections with other physicians and patients, WNC Audiology began to grow and thrive immediately. WNC Audiology understands the stress and discomfort that come with hearing loss, and we provide compassionate care to every patient. Our Doctors and Staff

Lisa Angelina, Au.D. is the practice owner and doctor of audiology, providing care to our patients since 2014. She has been an audiologist since 1994 and has worked in the WNC area since 2004. She graduated with her Master of Arts Degree in 1994 from San Diego State University. Later, she earned her Doctorate in Audiology at AT Still University. Her background includes working in audiology diagnostics and treatment for private practices and ear, nose, and throat offices, but she also gained valuable experience working with Buncombe County Schools and the VA Medical Center. She is fluent in American Sign Language and is passionate about her work and dedicated to helping patients with superior care.

Sophia Hrassnigg, Au.D.

Dr. Hrassnigg (Ras-nig), completed her Doctorate of Audiology at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she focused on the effects of patients hearing health and technology literacy. She is fluent in German and Spanish and conversational in American Sign Language. On the weekends you can find her reading a book at the park, at a yoga studio, or spending time with her foster animals.

Keti Mdzinarishvili, Au.D.

Dr. Mdzinarishvili (Mid-zee-nah-reesh-vee-lee), known by her patients as Dr. M, completed her Doctorate of Audiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where she conducted a systematic review assessing the effects of mindfulness-based stress reduction on tinnitus. Look for her around town at a yoga class, drinking a great cup of coffee, or restoring antique furniture with her husband.
